The State Bank of India Probationary Officer Syllabus /exam pattern 2015 with written exam pattern. New revised pattern and information for SBI Po 2015. State Bank of India conducts written examination for Probationary Officer posts. Recently State Bank of India had issued the notification for Probationary Officer 2015 written exam. From 2015 State Bank of India had changed the Probationary Officer exam pattern. Now there will be three phases instead of two. Phase I will be screening of non serious candidates to remove the completion. Phase II will be main exam consisting of written as well as descriptive paper. Candidates who qualifies phase two are further tested with Group discussion and interview. State Bank of India Probationary Officers Exam Pattern (New) 2015
Phase I : Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. Examination test would be one hour duration consisting of three sections as follows:

The applicants have to qualify in each of the 3 tests by securing passing marks to be decided by SBI Bank. Adequate number of applicants in each category as decided by SBI Bank 20 times of numbers of vacancies subject to availability for main examination.

Phase II : Main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online. Applicants will have to answer descriptive test by typing on computer. After completion of objective test, descriptive test will be administered.
i) Objective Test: The Objective test of two hour duration consists of four sections with fifty marks each (there are total marks 200) as follows:
a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and computers
c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
d) Test of reasoning (High Level)

The candidates are required to qualify in each of the tests by securing passing marks to be decided by State Bank of India.
ii) The descriptive test of one hour duration with fifty marks will be a test of English Language.

Phase III : Group discussion 20 marks and interview 30 marks.
Aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both objective tests and descriptive test will be arranged in descending order in each category. The qualifying marks in group discussion and interview will be as decided by the bank.
Final Selection : Marks obtained in Preliminary Examination Phase I will not be added for section and only the marks obtained in Main examination Phase II will be added to marks obtained in Interview and GD (Phase III) for preparation of the final merit list. Applicant will have to qualify both in Phase II and Phase III separately. Marks secured by candidates in written test out of 250 marks are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group discussion and Interview ( out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. Final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of written exam and group discussion and interview out of hundred for each category and the selection will be made from top merit ranked candidates in each category.

Descriptive paper is divided in 5 parts. You need to write descriptive essays on topics like given below. The test carry 50 marks and of 1 hour duration to test candidate’s English language skills.

Descriptive test is of qualifying nature. Candidates have to secure passing marks. It is tested of those candidates who qualifies in objective test.
State Bank of India Probationary Officer Syllabus 2015 Phase III Group Discussion and Interview
Group discussion will carry 20 marks and interview will be 30 marks. The applicants who qualified in both exam will be called for group discussion and interview.
State Bank of India Probationary Officer Final Selection will be based on marks scored in written exam, group discussion and interview.
